Pity it was to Wet Spam, not going to wish him good luck, he could easily have stayed but chose not to

If it’s true about the difference wages he was getting compared to other players who were frankly sh*te, can you blame him?

Was a shining light in a shocking side for me (in premier league terms) so good luck to him from me.

Looks like the fee is £7m. He's been fantastic for us but that's a very good deal

Yes a very good deal... for the 27 👍

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

He proved all the doubters wrong during his spell with us.
A great keeper and role model.
Good luck Fab.

Let's get Danny Ward in now please Huw.

I'd like to think that's the case, but who knows how much we actually wanted his wages off the books. We've a massive wage bill compared to our revenue. Probably can't afford to hang on to many on PL wages. I'm guessing though, obviously.

edit - sorry, reason for actually replying to your post was to say yes, pity it's WH. Horrible club and fans, can't stand them.

Always had a good time with the WH fans myself, home and away, was a lot better at their old ground, even when we won 4 - 1 up there a couple of seasons ago.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Gone, £7M apparently.

Played well for us, wish him all the best.

I think you’re right, The Walesonline article states that the wage bill is around £100m, against a turnover of nearly £130m MST of which would be transfer sales or tv income. With the tv parachute payments set for a decrease by approximately 50% next year and then to nothing after 3seasons, the club won’t be able to afford to retain anyone on big wages if it doesn’t go back up, so more and more players will be moved on.

Love the comment about investing £64m in to the playing squad, how much of that has been wasted!

I've always had the opposite. I'm sure they're not all like the idiots I've met though.

Every club has it's idiots, (even us) Last season I walked in a pub near Stratford Station wearing Swansea kit, only one in there, was bought pints by the locals for quote "having the balls to walk in here!" Mind being in my 70's probably didn't hurt.

Good luck Fab, and thanks for being so committed when you were with us. Just a pity you won't have those nice mountain bike rides around Three Cliffs/Southgate.

A fair price for an outstanding player looking to stay at his best. All the best to the Pole who was in our goal.

Good luck to him. Saved our blushes at times. We got what we deserved going down.
He wasn't to blame and deserves to play top level football.

I think he's a bit weak at long range efforts though.

Looking at the crocodile tears at the end of the Stoke game ,I d thought he wouldn't have needed counselling and hen committed himself to getting us back .Instead ,just jumping ship ASAP so forgive my indignation . Just another ex player now so fook him.

What s more aposite is just what are we going to do with the Ayew bothers and Bony . All seemingly having various issues.

Be nice to see us signing somebody now

We would've gone down a year earlier without a keeper of his quality.

West Ham not the step up he deserves, but they're splashing taxpayer cash and the lack of pressure will suit him.

Maybe the club didn’t want him to stay. Big wages, 1year left on contract, £7m kerching!

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago which stated he was on less than Nathan Dyer

If true I’d be telling Jenkins to fuk off when he drops off his togs off.

Criminal we allowed him to get to last year of contract

I wish I could wish him good luck but I dislike West Ham .... so thanks for the memories Fab

This.

Can’t begrudge the guy playing Premier League football in what will be the final few years of his career. I think he was genuinely upset at the end of last season as he knew he would be leaving, and didn’t necessarily want to be.

It’s players like Jordan Ayew who make me laugh, relegation specialists, we have quite a few in the squad unfortunately.

He was always going when a bigger club came in.

Good luck Fab. Stuck with Nordfella now, be lucky to finish mid table in Championship.

How much would you like them to spend.

7 m for a 33 years old keeper from a relegated side with 1 year left on his contract is a terrific deal for us tbf.

Just like the 12 m the club bagged for Ash Williams.

Well done to Huw for getting such a good deal then? Or is that down to someone else now it's turned into a good deal?

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Fab has been one of the very few obvious overachievers in the squad.

£7m is 40% better than £5m, but in the big picture this is just a drop in the debt bucket .
