Everyone who has the faintest idea about the economy of this country thinks Free trade between the UK and the EU is essential.

You know I’m an outspoken advocate for European unity, that’s not the issue. I’m talking about the Liberal commitment to globalism. It’s a rigged game where the third world is ruthlessly exploited and our own people are turned out of work. Every derelict factory, every home repossessed and every child reliant on free school meals from Cardigan to Carlisle bears its own testament.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

Corbyn is a bit too extreme for me I would say. But I still rate him as a human being who always stood for what is right. Hope he smashes the right wing c*nts. That's the priority. Then the left and the centre can perhaps negotiate with sense and reason and construct together without the involvements of far-right pedophiles and fascists.

Why is he too extreme in your eyes? Darr can answer that one as well.
Masses of anti Corbyn spouting going on here but no actual points raised as to why he is 'unelectable'.
A strange comment when both Parties are neck and neck in the polls after Labour being 20 points behind in the last election.
My only grouse with him is the Brexit stance. Had Labour taken a more anti Brexit role they would be streets ahead now.
Still one more election campaign, where Corbyn will get equal media coverage, and Labour should do it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isnt the Leave vote a vote for more globalism? The premise being that we can cut better deals with the rest of the world than we currently do through the EU and potentially unlock new markets. The EU is supposedly protectionist and not as outwood reaching a a global britain. So to be bettter off than we are now we must make up the short fall in trade with Europe by reaching out more to developing economies around the world. At least within Europe, most of the economies are relatable sizes to our own and within developed countries, but with developing economies around the world the playing field might not as level.

You are probably correct.Other nations are not exactly rushing to deals with us and why would they? They already have their deals in place and the Uk is not a particularly attractive market as we will no longer have access to the EU market, also any agreements will be on their terms not ours.I cannot believe how anyone would have voted to leave

Well, i'm sure most countries will happily to sell us their stuff with minimal negotiation, but for us to sell to them, maybe not.

I didn't mean he's extreme in the sense that he's a radical.

I'm more of a centrist with clear left leaning. And I would say that I agree mostly with Corbyn's social policies.

But his stance on Brexit is just..maybe I'm a bit uninformed here but did he ever say what the hell does he really want? Is he really willing to ride the Brexit train alongside his enemies for his own reasons? Brexit is toxic yet many of his supporters with far-left leanings seem to be fine or even supportive with it. I mean he can't be serious. Joining hands with the UKIP who infiltrated the Tories to turn the country into an another "populist" hell. As I said I really admire Jeremy. But maybe he's a bit outdated. He doesn't get that Brexit will only play in the hands of the far-right. Unless of course he proves me wrong and makes a clear stance on the issue.

Until then, And I really feel dirty saying it. But I really feel safer in the hands of a Remain Tory who wants to bring (or keep) centrism and stability, than in the hands of Corbyn.

Corbyn is a brexiteer. He’s always been a brexiteer. It would be easy to look at his past comments and voting record to accurately surmise he could be described as a leading brexiteer. You could even describe him as a gammon, whatever that is. He quite deliberately sits on the fence recently for largely political purposes as not to piss off a large section of his support.

Secretly he’d probably love a hard Brexit. Nationalising British industries would be very difficult under EU law.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

He's always seen the EU as an impediment to true Socialism.

His pathetic performance during the referendum was a fücking disgrace.

There's a part of me thats got a soft spot for the corbyn I saw when he first was going for the Labour Leadership. But it seems since those first few years, he's really fallen to wayside. maybe its the amount of party infighting, or just hard to keep your eyes forward within the leadership... I dunno. But agree he's been riding the rails for a while.

But as far as Labour goes, not sure if there is an alternative turning heads at the moment. And I don't just want another leader that seems closer to Lib-dem than Labour.
