It's a poor league. We could do with a proper specialist DM and then a left back because we've got no depth there and maybe we can do better than Olsson who was awful last season. Anything else depends on departures, but our squad is so bloated we can afford to let a fair few go without replacement. There's plenty of cover in the u23s, there's no need for a 25+ man senior squad.

Not your exact words..no It was my tongue in cheek reply, but you knew that anyway. We won't, and even if we did, I wouldn't put my house on us going straight back up. Derby, Villa, Reading, Norwich, Wednesday, QPR, Hull, Stoke, WBA, Preston, Bristol City, Boro.....yeah will p*ss it

If the same person responsible for all the recent sh*te signings is still in charge, then expect more of the same, only much cheaper and much more crappier signings. If you send a chimp shopping don't complain when he comes back with a bunch of bananas. |

I watched championship winners wolves against us twice last year They didn’t impress I watched Cardiff half a dozen times on the box they were rubbish . Fulham we’re tidy , reminded me how we used to play I tried to watch some other championship games but found me turning it off most of the time I’d say if we keep everyone bar mawson and fab who look like going well go straight back up

I admire your optimism mate I really do. The Ayew brothers, Bony, Mawson and Fab will be gone for sure, and any other player that a half decent offer comes in for. We were the second worst team in the the PL last season, even with the above players, proved by us being relegated, and teams like Huddersfield, Brighton and Southampton surviving Assuming that the named players do leave, the heart of our squad will be Routledge, Dyer, Clucas, Carroll, a game rusty Fer plus whatever players Huw brings in. I can't see that lot getting us automatic promotion, no matter how bad the standard is in the championship.

Spot on. With our current squad we'd smash the division it'll never recover. But you're forgetting that some of our best will be packing. Jordan Ayew,Fabianski,Mawson,Even Andre and Bony are decent players if fit and used properly,we can expect them to go as well. Even Bartley and Fernandez might go too. And we'll replace on the cheap that's why things aren't so bright. But I'm still very hopeful by the way, just cautiously.

Totally agree with you. We need players who want to battle rather than money grabbers with no desire

I agree. We need to keep our best players and strengthen the squad. Try what we did last year and sell plus buy cheap, late and desperately then relegation will be staring us in the face again. There is a huge amount of work to be done. We have appointed Potter and so we should show faith in him. He should have massive input into who we sign plus the final say on who comes in. He also needs to look at the players we currently have out on loan to see if they fit his style of play. Leave this to the dithering clown and we are effed. [Post edited 17 Jun 2018 11:16]
