Any rumours of his death are greatly exaggerated. At least that’s what he told me earlier this evening.

I was researching something in Port Talbot Library a few weeks ago and I had this from a 1988 Port Talbot Guardian.

I would pay a 100 notes to avoid a FOSCFA coach.

£100 quid would barely get you to neath and back in a taxi these days.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Can you imagine paying 100 notes and at the end of it, having to be in Neath?

£100 in 1988 was a lot of money especially for a taxi.

Do you know the pricing around 1986 ?

I was on the FOSCFA coach to Crewe that Mark missed that Boxing Day.

We never made it to Crewe as it broke down somewhere south of Birmingham. We spent the whole day in a country pub waiting for a replacement coach to come and get us.

Someone tried ringing the ground with a fake bomb scare in the hope of getting the kick off put back and giving us a chance to get there. We never did.

IIRC the result was a 0-0 bore draw so spending the day in the pub was the best result for us I think.

Boxing Day is tariff 3 too - that journey now would cost around £600 on the meter I believe

As you know loyal, when I meet ps fans on match days I always bring a present, normally sherbet dips. One looked puzzled at all that white powder as I slurped it down my gullet

In fact you are talking through what you are sitting on. He’s had to use crutches to help him walk since his second unsuccessful back operation following an accident at work, which was a long time ago.
