How on earth England weren't down to ten after 35mins when Kyle Walker sized up the Tunisian attacker and blatantly elbowed him in the face, it was seen because of the pen and booking but that should have been a straight red, you cant elbow people in the face with such seemingly premeditated force. The forward played for it, walker was stupid for turning his back Continual fouling by Tunisia resulted in no bookings and the rugby tackle on Kane was ridiculous.

The English commentators and pundits are known by many neutrals for their biasness.
A few world cups back the English were rioting in the streets, England was ablaze actually, with serious public order offences not to mention they were burning effigies of their own players and all in no small part because of the English commentary imo. [Post edited 19 Jun 2018 6:59]

I heard somewhere, that recently referees are being instructed not to give straight red cards for penalties and restrict it to a yellow card. Because the penalty is a punishment enough. [Post edited 19 Jun 2018 8:31]

They were, but they were plAyling for it too. In the second Kane incident, if you watch it closely you can see Kane holding on to the arm of the defender and pulling him over as he’s falling. Looked like it could have been a penalty but in fact was a foul by Kane.
Refs have a hard job as it is without both sets of players trying it on, and then those with a reputation, well, it goes before them so they can have no complaints at all. Karma’ it can be a bitch! [Post edited 19 Jun 2018 8:47]

Double jeopardy or something like that. I agree with it personally, unless its against the swans, in which case the penalty is not enough, a red card is needed too. |  |
