The protein works are very good. Good prices when they have deals on too. Mixes well. Horses for courses but I’ve found it the best by a mile for quality and value.

My lad has 2 bags of Ultra Fine Oats here with a best before end 8/4/17 but they haven't been opened, they should be ok shouldn't they? Just chucked some monies worth just now
If they have cola flavour in, it tastes like cola bottles. Not at all milky.
They don't use that stevia stuff in their powders do they? bloody horrible stuff My Protein use that and I can't stand it. I don't drink coke/cola or any soft drinks for that matter and haven't for years. Water with some freshly squeezed lemon I drink other than tea, I've stopped the beers as well now, makes a massive difference to my Sunday Mornings.

Been doing light weights once a week for about 2 weeks and I'm feeling well. Stronger in work and quicker.
Light weights I've been doing, dumbbell circuits 8 exercises and 5 sets with little rest between sets, need to find a way of mixing it up with different exercises though, just about to do a session now shortly followed by 30 mins or so on bike.

Just put 2 tablespoons of powered fortified milk into half a pint of water.Cheaper and just as effective

Excess yes, Max has already said he's on a restricted diet. He'd have to be in serious catabolic state for that to happen.
For all you light weights people. Lifting heavy is better for a post training metabolic boost and it's better for natural testosterone production which will help lower your bodyfat percentage especially in middle age.
The reality is that it isnt needed. I use mine once a day straight after training because I am constantly hitting my top level. When I was on my first run, winning competitions I didn't use any because there was nothing around I could digest.
Even on a balanced 2000 cals a day restriction you can hit all your needed macros and micro-nutrients.
1-2g of protein per kg of lean body mass isnt that hard a number to hit.

That's pretty much what I do.
One before at 5am with a flapjack before I train at 6.30 and another serving straight after. Food for the rest of the day.

After reading above, was thinking of just taking the one serving a day that being after training, although I only have porridge for breakfast and don't have any protein until 12pm ish.
