Congrats girls.

Fair play to them, I play/go to football to get away from my Mrs.

I just had an interesting thought and wondered if there’s ever been a married couple in the same team before?

What's going on at the moment? Must be something in the water.

Good luck to 'em. Now why can't there be this openness in the men's game...?

Sadly it's years/decades away from anything like this happening at the highest levels of the mens game. When you have "fans" who feel it's ok to discriminate against people who they feel are different or feel it's ok to slag as it's "only" banter.

Be good if they walked out onto the pitch before the first home game so we could give them a round of applause.

Congratulations to them both, great news!

The only people that go to watch ladies PL football are friends and families of the players.

They should play their matches in the morning of the mens side. Say a 11am kick off. May get a few more down there then.

I have a few lady friends that play or have played welsh prem football. Some decent games, just slower.

Funny you should mention that - this just happened on Friday.

More openness you say?

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Yep, much slower. Mr Mrs took our youngest the the Liberty for the women's World Cup qualifier the other week, loved it. It's sad that crowds were so low though. It may be slower but so what? I used to watch Aberystwyth when I lived there - can't be much worse than that!

Club loyalty as well innit. Swansea ladies are still Swansea. Would we all suddenly stop watching if the quality dropped a level or two? The plastics would clear off but many of us would stay.

(I'm being hypocritical here as never seen them play!)

Sadly agree - see the Gareth Thomas threads for evidence (although a bug part of that is that he's a head slapper I'm sure)
