Don’t remember weather, like we’re having now, for many years, 1976 was a good summer but can’t recall it being this hot. It was 25 degrees at 10am today...very unusual.
2003 also had a prolonged hot spell, I remember it well as it was the year i got married and I was away on honeymoon when temperatures were at their peak.
As an aisde I have participated in Velothon Wales today, it was a brutal 140km in the saddle due to the heat. None the less I made it through the course with only a little heat stroke which I will correct later with lager stroke.

It’s been bizarre oop north. Further north inside the arctic circle they had a ridiculously warm winter, which is what pushed the cold air down and gave the northern hemisphere record breaking cold snap. Now we’ve got record breaking hot spell across the northern hemisphere. Bonkers weather.

I remember mostly all of them especially Brotherhood of man winning the Eurovision with kisses for me. But fair play to Swanjaxx, whenever I hear that Elton and Kiki Dee record it transports me straight back . I was only 8 but what a summer , 90 degrees average over 3 months
