I only do these shytty polls because this forum gets so bleeding serious.
Champagne for sparkling. Pinot noir with a good steak. Malbec red for chilling with. Portuguese Rose or Rose Anjou. Sauvignon Blanc with a pasta or seafood meal. A good French Chardonnay. Muscadet yummy also.

For me good Burgundy both red (Pinot Noir) like Nuits St George’s and white (Chardonnay) like Mersault are the ultimate expression of wine. But a once a year treat. The most underrated wine are sherries like a Fino. Superb chilled with ice and great value.

Hardly ever touch the stuff these days, but if I do find myself sitting outside Tuttons in the Convent Garden piazza on a baking hot day, I will partake in a couple of bottles of New World Chardonnay.
