The Best Live Album 16:21 - Aug 4 with 17439 views

Just sat here on hols in Sicily chatting with my beautiful wife. “Which live album do you think is the most important in my life?” I asks. (Bit inebriated truth be told). She names two out of three that are ‘up there’. What are the best/top for you guys? For me it’s (in reverse order):
3. The Song Remains the Same - Zeppelin ( saw it at the Castle Cinema - great memories)
2. If You Want Blood, You Got It - AC/DC “Angus. Angus!”
Number fecking one! Live in the Heart of the City -Whitesnake (I’ve got a hell of a length Coverdale l!)

What do you reckon?

Thanks to all for your input. Some great replies but there is nowhere to go after the suggestion that the great Val Doonican should be ‘in there’!

Love to all and I suggest that if you ever ‘do’ Sicily, fly over Mount Etna in a helicopter. Great memory!!ðŸ˜±ðŸ˜Ž

Eb, my favourite live album of the ‘80s without a doubt has to be this... To have seen them gig in their pomp was an absolute privilege. Feckin’ incredible musicians!

Iron Maiden- Live After Death

I'll definitely second that, and throw in Dire Straits - Alchemy Live.

2 albums that were constantly played throughout my teenage years. Every time I listen to them, I am transported back to the 80s!

Although not an album, AC/DC Live at River Plate is possibly the best live performance I have ever seen or heard. If you are a fan and have not seen it, it is recommended.

I saw a few dates on that tour.

Not a fan of the album though has that horrible compressed brittle 80's production.

Needs a sympathetic remix in my opinion.
