Just sat here on hols in Sicily chatting with my beautiful wife. “Which live album do you think is the most important in my life?” I asks. (Bit inebriated truth be told). She names two out of three that are ‘up there’. What are the best/top for you guys? For me it’s (in reverse order):
3. The Song Remains the Same - Zeppelin ( saw it at the Castle Cinema - great memories)
2. If You Want Blood, You Got It - AC/DC “Angus. Angus!”
Number fecking one! Live in the Heart of the City -Whitesnake (I’ve got a hell of a length Coverdale l!)

‘Live at Budokan’ isn’t a bad shout! Nor is ‘Live Killers’! The 1986 Queen is ‘neutral’ to me as I saw that tour in Vienna, Live when I wa studying at the Uni there. Kiss leaves me confused though!!!!! | |

Rush are too great for me in that they are so good they reproduce the studio ‘thing’ too closely. Tom Sawyer and Red Barchetta are two bits of close perfection for me though. I admit not knowing ‘Dream Theatre’ at all!! | |

Depeche Mode are too underaged in my opinion. Pointless info: I was driving through Kegworth listening to INXS within 5 mins of the air disaster happening. I only found out about it when I arrived at my mates house in Derby about 20 mins later! | |

Dream theater are in same genre(kinda) as Rush and are an acquired taste but if you like rush you might like them though they are allot more on the heavier side of prog metal. | | | |

Not a huge fan but Made in Japan is a benchmark recording and Live and Dangerous is good.
Generally not a fan of live albums.
