Would do a job as back up to olsson...would add to the home grown player list.
only 23 so still a young age.... and again if GP is interested in him... I trust him. This windows signings have pretty much all been superb ones and having a welsh player who can fit the system we play then I am all for it. | | | |

He's not a left back - defensively poor.
Started off as a winger for us through the youth system, got converted to left back.
Played in the Prem, average at best. 4, 5 different managers with us, loaned up to lower div clubs where he played poorly. At Rangers for what, a year and now looking to get rid?
Do you not have any youth players who could fill in at a pinch? | | | |

Started off as a winger for us through the youth system, got converted to left back.
Played in the Prem, average at best. 4, 5 different managers with us, loaned up to lower div clubs where he played poorly. At Rangers for what, a year and now looking to get rid?
Do you not have any youth players who could fill in at a pinch? |
Did he ever play as a left wing back as part of say a 3-5-2 formation? If not do you think he could do well in that role? | | | |

He did when Trollope was manager - Trollope was sacked that season and Warnock appointed. When Warnock took over, John disappeared from view - had a sub appearance or two but failed to impress.
I've honestly not seen anything to suggest he's Championship quality. I guess that doesn't mean that he couldn't but under so many managers for us failed to make any impact, failed to make an impact at lower league levels or in SPL... odds are against it imo. | | | |

Roberts and Lewis have played left back for the u23s, but Potter seems to want a left footer there so used Grimes and Blair in preseason.
Cian Harries played a few games at left back for Coventry in League One iirc. But he's very much a centre back in terms of mobility. Wouldn't fancy him backing up Olsson.
