Well that is the most sensible post you have made in a long time.
Although a small point of correction, “everyone else is in the wrong” is not the case at all. The usual morons that follow me around the forum taking things off topic and trying desperately to draw me into arguments by doctoring historical off topic quotes are on the wrong.
Thankfully they are in the minority. There is about 8 or so. But they ruin threads in the process so can feel like more.

The sooner this nonsense of the fan club derailing theads because they cannot face their hero being correct needs to be stamped out.

Yeah - way back when you referred to him holding his value better in the context of being a good investment. He was a shocking investment. As an anology, I could say buying shares in Homebase is better value than buying them in Poundworld. Might be true but still makes me a terrible investment manager. | | | |

Holding his value better than what though? And a good investment relative to what?
A foreign equivelant.
Which is correct as we managed to agree a sale price of £8m with a club for him last week.
At no point did I ever refer to him as a good investment. Footballers very often are not. You buy shares in homebase to make you a profit. You buy players to play for you in the main, while then retaining their value as best they can.
In the circumstance we were in, needing to bring someone in, it was better that if we were to take a risk - we would take a British risk. Which proved correct. | |

Of course.
I didn’t bring up Sam Clucas in thread about Clare. I always post regarding the content of what has been written in the thread. At the time I replied about a troll saying we only had 1 center back. I simply reminded him we had 2.
This led him into a fit of rage dragging up correct quotes from months ago and changing their meaning, when that failed dragging up words and wrongly thinking they were incorrectly spelled - then we have the fan club joining in to help him out.
