Bit unfair since he wasn't supplied any of the ball.

Nah. He had no supply, so he ended up dropping deep and then he’s no use to anyone. Especially as nobody was prepared to run beyond him. It was a bad team performance on the ball, not just a bad Ollie performance. As part of that I hope VdH isn’t going to go back to his aimless punts down the channels- he was guilty of that when we first signed him and seemed to revert to it tonight. Joe going long ball too.

We desperately need a Leon type in the middle. Tom isn’t it.

Giving the ball away on the edge of the penalty area too often but I didn’t see too much hoofing.

Birmingham were a tough old team reminded me of a League One team at times.

Yes? Whenever he had it he gave it away. Not good enough at this level. Carroll no better. McKay invisible. Thing is, I believe this manager can get us promoted , given the tools. Aah there's the rub, not a chance with these cretins in charge. A few good performances tonight. Mulder, Rodon, VDH, Roberts, Olsson, Fer when he came on. Celina has skill aplenty, but kept losing possession, you can't do that at this level.

Without meaning to pile on, but tonight he couldn’t win a challenge, couldn’t trap a ball, couldn’t make a simple pass, and couldn’t beat his man when dribbling.

Hopefully a bad day at the office.

When is Bony due to be fit?

He was awful today in the few chances he was given. But to be fair he wasn't given many. We were completely overran constantly he almost didn't get any service.

As ever, the lone striker with zero supply gets the blame while 2 centre backs and defensive mid sit on him all game. Wtf is he meant to do?

Look at our central midfield, long chips out of the back and the complete inability to string 2 passes together instead.

Prepare to see lots more teams play against us like that until we figure it out.

But a clean sheet and a point away.. can't moan too much

Just a couple of questions .i guess you all put in a great shift every day in your work lives.....never under perform?
When you were starting out in you careers did you excel every day?

Support the team...what a fickle set of fans we are

“What’s he meant to do?”

Hold up the ball until the team can move upfield. And make a simple pass when they do.

Would’ve made a world of difference to that game.

He really didn't work to the situation.
Too often his runs were a little bizarre given where the ball was being played from.
TBF though almost every time he challenged for the ball a Brum player crumpled underneath him and the ref was happy to give the defender the benefit of he doubt.

Made a good run for the cross that James overcooked.

6 feet lower and he might've put on on target.

Doesn't matter who the lone striker is, if the service is shite or doesn't work to the players better strengths then they will struggle and fans blame the player.

Go slate the midfield if you must. Lone strikers in games like that get cut no slack tho

More than that. Even potter saw he was outmatched in this game and tried him on the wing during the first half.

He needs players close to him and tonight we were too stretched as a team.
