I don't think you needed to be a tactical genius to see that with a midfield of Carroll, Fulton and Chelina, good old fashioned championship grunt would easily knock them off their stride, and prevent them getting any dominant platform by which they could run the game and bring the wingers in. | | | |

A centre mid should be the priority.
Celina looks good as a number 10.
What we need is someone else with Fer in midfield to control the midfield behind him.
Carroll is way too lightweight, and Fulton, although he has a great work rate, just isn’t good enough with the ball at his feet for me.
If we can sign a centre mid, centre back and striker on loan I’ll feel fairly confident we can have a decent season. | | | |

Anything less than those 3 signings would leave the squad dangerously thin.
