Christ... watched the 2min clip and just welled up halfway through, fkn awful news. Was a big fan of Lenny when he played in the black & white, always seemed a top guy, humble and hard working as a player

Be a nice touch if the club invited him down as Guest of Honour this season - the fans could show their respect pre-match.

Perhaps the Trust could suggest this.

It's a vicious and nasty debilitating disease. Saw my dad go through 2.5 years of it. I was 9 when he died and part of me now at 38 is glad that it happened when I was young. I think seeing someone go through that as an adult would be so much more difficult.

As a kid you just don't comprehend what it is doing. But to see someone's body deteriorate while their mind stays sharp is frightening.

Must be so hard for a former professional athlete. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Loved Lenny. Perhaps the most unsung hero of that survival.

F*cking horrible disease.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Another 'pitch based' athlete with Motor Neurone Disease - I believe chemical fertilisers are a major trigger for this disease. Farmers also have an increased chance of developing this ABHORRENT disease.

Probably too early to be linked if there is one, but Lou Gehrig (in the US I beleieve it's commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease).

Think there's a former New Orleans Saints player as well. Just checked, Steve Gleason.

Hull is our last home match so Lenny and james Thomas as guests of honour.

But I think fans also want to show their affection and thoughts for Lenny at the liberty asap
