Stadium naming rights 11:26 - Aug 27 with 3755 viewsbuilthjack

Why hasn't the £750k a year man, or that great advisor, one armed bandit man, sorted this out?
Another trick missed and it's a simple one to do.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Because which company would want to put their name against the liberty, in our current situation, league and the current state of the stadium itself?

If they're not happy with Liberty to remain as the stadium sponsor and they find no other takers, we'll probably end up with the Ex-Liberty Stadium and no money.

Sounds about right though I guess.

We shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush you know!

Didn't the Liberty naming rights expire around 5 years ago?

At least we've secured a £300,000 a year rental deal with the council, instead of that stupid peppercorn rent we were paying them.

So all stadium income streams will come to the club now...f*ck me, "this time next year we'll be Millionaires"

Audi Volkswagen were lines up.
Shareholders wanted The Audi Stadium (the as DC United)
Audi Volkswagen wanted The VW Stadium
With relegation the fee reduced significantly and shareholder decided to hold out to re-assess later this year.
Audi Volkswagen still in the game.

it is my understanding that any deal struck when the stadium was leased under the old agreement would have seen the money going to the Stadium management company which is part Swans, part Ospreys and part Council. Once the Swans had secured the extended lease, then any monies would go straight to the Swans. Unfortunately, after securing the lease the Swans got relegated and the value of any sponsorship deal is now likely to be much lower than when they were in the PL.

But even in pre season we should have got a sponsor in. Yes, Championship club, but on tv quite often, on the news every day etc etc. So no money in for that.
Instead, they keep the kiosks in the ground open for 2 hours after the game, with not a soul in there.
If that is down to Pearlman give home his P45 now.

However, after an agreement before Christmas, operational control has been handed over.
It will allow more commercial opportunities and expanding the 21,000 capacity to be explored.
The move will also mean the local authority gets an annual income from the ground for the first time and a share of any money from stadium naming rights.
The arrangement will also see 3G football pitches built in communities around Swansea.
The handover took place on Friday, with a long-term lease allowing the Ospreys to continue playing at the venue.
"This is a deal that benefits both the Swans and Ospreys by providing them with the freedom to commercial the stadium," said council leader Rob Stewart.
"And the council tax payers who will not only receive an income, but also additional money from any stadium naming rights and shirt sponsor deals will help deliver new 3G pitches across the authority."
Swans majority shareholders Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien said the agreement puts the club "firmly in control of its own destiny".

Wasn’t there a relegation clause around the 3G pitches?

"Club is in charge of it's own destiny"

Really?
Can't believe you've said that

After Dimwit (yourself??), Beaky, Shagger and Clogger selling without knowing who or what organisation was behind Stevie and Jasie boys money, to put them in a position of being able to buy their shares.
Quick Google search would have shown neither had the funds and what type of buyers/ owners they were

Hopefully it's just Oprah Winfrey and a few actors/ actresses that have put the money up and not organisations that want their cash back quickly.

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

You're probably right. Personally I like the name Liberty (not really the previous sponsors though) but the name in general conjures up a feeling of freedom, human rights and a good feeling IMO. Maybe we should look to retain Liberty in the stadium name eg. VW/ Audi Liberty Stadium.

Just a thought.
