The Thomas the Tank Engine franchise is being relaunched with an inclusive, gender-balanced, multicultural set of characters. Do you agree in remaking our beloved classics to reflect a multicultural society? pic.twitter.com/d6CfwnFjPu

What I'd like to see is a thoroughly politically incorrect version of Ivor the Engine. It'd be much funnier.
They need to make up their minds. They banned Golliwogs from Noddy then complain there’s not enough multiculturalism. It’s political correctness GONE MAD!
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
They’ve been doing it for years. I hear Pontypandy is like Mogadishu now. Poor Sam has his work cut out now, especially since that little prick Norman Price joined a jihadi cell.

I sodding hate most of the PC bollox we have to put up with these days. Affirmative action is a great personal bugbear of mine, but I honestly cannot see a massive problem with this after watching this video...
They are just pushing the concept world-wide with new characters and ideas. It will make the programme more appealing to little girls, which in itself, can only be a good thing surely?
Never heard of gender balanced, from what I've read it's where girls can do blokey stuff and vice versa. Introducing multicultural characters as well, not a problem for me. It's when they start banging on about the other stuff that gets on my nerves. Does Ringo Star still do the voice over?

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I'd be more worried by the word "relaunch" than I would "inclusion"...
They continue to fail at understanding why popular franchises were popular. and instead think adding shining production and more hollow narratives is the way forward.

Hopefully he told them to fck off and ram their programme up their gender neutral safe spaces.

It's almost as if LBC have phrased it in such a way to drive traffic to their station and various social media outlets.

Pockets of larger UK towns and cities are multi-cultural but many cultures are ghettoised within towns. Think of the Jewish population of North London, for example.
Pembrokeshire is not particularly multi cultural nor are huge swathes of the UK as a whole. Perhaps that's the reason so many people object to this - it doesn't actually reflect their daily lives? Just speculating, thinking out loud etc
