Usually fully insured for the duration of injury. However also usually just a % of the full wage. |  |

He’s doing the opposite. He is managing expectations. The club released footage of Bony doing light training 5 or 6 weeks ago. Haven’t seen the quote but based on the OP I think Potter is just saying he won’t be back in the very short term.

I just don’t buy it. He’s out of contract in the summer, I wouldn’t expect anyone to take him on loan or a free until he proves his fitness. If he has got an appearance clause, it’s not going to kick in after 15 games or whatever he’s played for us. He may be insured I guess but doubt that would cover a lot.

the assumption is he wouldn't still be here if fit, so potter presumably doesn't really have him in his plans anyway
