Cruising at 1-0, dominating the match with some great passing football. They score two very well taken goals and we're playing catch up. Attacking subs by Mr Potter and we get back in it. At 2-2 I thought we were in the ascendancy looking for the win. Then the sucker punch. As has already been mentioned this is going to happen with such a young and inexperienced side. Can't fault the team's effort again - gutted for all concerned this evening.

GP made some poor decisions today.Dropping Mulder-although keeper not really at fault for their winner. Mcsocks not good enough to play on his own as a striker.Taking VDH off, a massive howler, he could possibly have prevented the winner. | | | |

We scored early and thought it was going to be easy and got sloppy. Apart from his goal thought that Celina was poor and lacked drive didn't like playing against his old Ipswich pals. Potter has done brilliantly and right behind him but.
Can't see the justification for dropping Mulder
Connor R has done brilliantly also but not an out and out winger. Should start at full back/wing back, We have played Naughton in midfield with success bu dropped him back today . Those decisions didn't come off unfortunately.
Sadly their third goal came with a header in the area where VDH would have defended.
But he tried different things and has earnt the right to do so, and on another day they might have come off.
Enjoying the season and now on to the Villa game.

I made the same comments re the flicks in the George Byers thread.
It’s about percentage balls in those areas and even to my untrained eye it didn’t look a good option. But hey ho, I’m not going to slate anyone over it and I’m sure that Potter will ensure that everyone learns from it - it’s about game management.
