Called there last night on the way back from the game. Cracking meal.
Highly recommended.

Both the Ancient Briton and the Pen Y Cae inn a little further up the valley are excellent.

Nothing to see here.

Great Sunday lunch and the selection of beers which change regularly

Never had a bad meal at the Ancient Briton, can't say the same for the Pen-y-Cae Inn which is overpriced and much over rated IMO.

The Tafarn-y Garreg pub which is a little further up the road towards Brecon is my favorite (especially on a nice summers evening) tidy food and a great welcome from Andy the owner (even though he was born in Chicago to Greek parents).

The Gwyn Arms is run by a right miserable bugger (don't call there)

The old All Black's pub on the roundabout I have been told is very good

The All Black Arms has reverted to it's original name "Aubrey Arms" since it was sold (I believe Dineen is one of the new owners)

I've heard very mixed revues of the food off the menu there, and fairly expensive for what it is, although some family members of mine tried the carvery there last week and said it was excellent.

Yes, past the caves and the The Gwyn Arms, next pub on your right.

A lot walkers/campers call in there, dogs are welcome there as well.

No I haven't (but I bet she's lovely) your last post made me giggle, and I wasn't sure if it was intentional.

Yes it was intentional, because I was referring to my ex.

You lose your bet, by the way.
