But Mulder doesn't play as many short passes. When you're an up and coming manager looking to gain a reputation and a move to the Premier League, having a reputation as playing free flowing, tiki taka, Barcelona type football is more likely to get you there quicker than the manager who had the 4th best defensive record in The Championship in 2018/19.
It's a real shame. Even the way he gets down for low shots/headers just looks awkward, likes he's half a second slower than what others may have been. He's conceded other goals this season where the ball doesn't even go right in the corner and he's still nowhere near it quick enough. |  |
