Anyone just seen this on The One Show. Blown away by the technology used to bring these films to colour. It's out in cinemas now, for a limited time, and I believe it will be available on BBC iPlayer soon. Here's Peter Jackson's interview, interesting stuff.
Edit. Being shown on BBC1 on Armistice Day,well worth a look imho.

Amazing. I love the colourisation of old pictures, it really does bring them to life...it makes them seem real. Seeing black and white WW2 pics for example, it makes it seem like another age. Seeing them in colour makes you realise that it actually all happened. Great for the younger generation to see and appreciate.
It was a brilliant segment to see. It certainly made it look more recent than the black and white and you saw more character in their faces when in colour.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That’ll be God’s punishment for stretching The Hobbit out to nine interminable hours. Not to mention King Kong.
The only good thing about King Kong was Naomi Watts!!
On the OP, yep I saw it and things like this deserve adding to the education syllabus so kids can see what wars are really like, modern warfare can be just as horrific.
