Changing your mind on an opinion based on what we know isn't being confused.

Like this one above.... They 'had' been offered deals and 'were' in negotiations.
Now if you turned around to me and said 'I will always think Jenkins to be a greedy bastard and won't forget that, but I will concede to the fact he's done a bloody good job in general in running our Club and we need him and his experience on board' then that would be what I did.

But it protects the club. Surely you can see that. Rodgers did it too and we got compo. Plus he got a bigger pay deal to support negotiating a bigger next one elsewhere. We knew he was off, he knew he was off even as he signed that deal. neither he or we thought it would be the Scouse is all. We now will only sell JR if WE get the deal that we want. We being the club, or the owners of the club. It's Win Win. I personally can't criticise anything we are doing at the moment. Fully behind the strategy, which I think is the owners AND the manager's strategy. |  |
