DUBAI has introduced new rules for tourists ... 08:41 - Nov 2 with 1524 viewstheloneranger

"Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have introduced strict new regulations that could easily trip tourists up. This is the latest travel advice.

Holidaymakers wishing to bring in medication for personal use now have to seek permission to enter the UAE with it.

An online form has to be filled out by those declaring medication - and those who do not do so could be prosecuted and face jail time.

The new law - which applies to both visitors and residents - was introduced this month by The Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates"

It makes sense to me. As long as travel agents and airlines make sure this is flagged up on any bookings there shouldn't be an issue.
I've had quite a lot of prescribed medicines that are apparently quite valuable and saleable in other countries. Tramadol to start with.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

What about a stopover on route to somewhere else?

To be honest there are far... far better, more interesting places to go. Each time i have been there, which in fairness was usually just for business or passing through i couldn't wait to leave.

If you're caught with Viagra you could end up with a stiff sentence, or be quickly ejaculated out of the country.

I don’t fancy the place. It might simply be my incorrect perception but I have a sense that things can go very wrong very quickly for people in the Middle East.

Mind you, the same is probably true of places like the US.
