I knew Tim and it was a horrible crash that has left two families devastated...no excuse to drink that amount and drive at that speed without a licence though. Horrible situation.

Horrible. No excuse at all, and the only positive here is that no other families were affected. Not that that's any comfort to those poor kids and their wider family I'm sure.

Terrible and needless - as a result there are 4 kids now growing up without one of their parents. I have no sympathy with drink drivers.

Alcohol ruins lives, I've seen it, I've lived it and it's true. Combine stupidity with alcohol and it's lethal. Yet we allow alcohol to be sold freely and outlaw Cannabis which has proven medical benefits.
Anyone who drinks more than the legal limit then drives deserves locking up, if someone dies because of it they should be charged with murder.

	Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Absolutely shocking behaviour from him, to drink two bottles of wine and then move on to the casino and drink more before driving home is truly staggering.

The sentencing on drink driving is quite staggering,you even kill someone whilst being over the limit and you only get a token sentence.
By strange coincidence I was reading this story earlier. Four people killed,read the sentence.
