Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

That was very poor, best team won, WBA knew what to do and did it well. We play too tight and can't make spaces , the movement was awful with no one giving options to the ball carrier.Mid-table would be a reasonable position on this showing.

Poll: Will we be relegated ?

Same story week after week. We had 57% possession and 19 shots, 4 on target tonight. We always had issues scoring but now we seem to have forgotten how to defend - 6 goals conceded in two home matches. Where's the progress?

Started brightly but after the goals conceded woeful performance.

Confidence drained out of team and playing like a team of strangers with no idea..

92 minutes plus gone and VDH passed back to keeper from half way line!

Did their keeper make a save????????
Never mind we should have had a penalty

Woeful. It's going to be a long Christmas and season

Commentator on Sky red button said that it had been 364 days since Bony's last league goal. Despite injury that is dreadful.

I’m getting fed up losing to teams of f*cking thugs and softer goals than you see in under 11s.

That assault on James ignored was a shocker.

Our performance was a curates egg, no reason why we couldn’t have smashed them, but if we gift easy goals as we have in just about every game except Bolton recently we really aren’t going to win many.

Very frustrated. F*ck off WuBBA. F*ck off turd of a ref.

Back to not creating enough. Fer and bony criminally unfit. Not getting enough bodies in the box and and as soon as we get into the final third everyone starts playing musical statues. Frsutrating nights watch as these teams aren’t miles ahead of us. Oh and HRK is a d!ck

Creating little and gifting goals to the opposition not an ideal combination.
The ref was biased as well and we should have had a penalty but we were not good enough.

Poll: Would you like Cooper to stay or go (regardless of compensation situation)

No idea how that shower are top scorers in the league. All set pieces?

Longing for the days of complaining about Premier League referees. The ones down here are dreadful.

Look at the teams and the benches. They have better players. But I didn’t see it like that. With a bit of luck and a proper goalkeeper/defensive marking system, we win that game.

I think it's got to the stage where you add attitude to that list.

It does seem as if we are playing a game of football without real intent of getting a positive result.
There was no sign of encouragement from teammates just acceptance when things didn't work.
A team can only develop when players play in their recognized position and in a settled team and formation.

I'm sure Harry Potter will say yet again "we have to learn from that"
School boy defending at set pieces, Zonal marking, my arse.

I like thousands of other Jacks knew exactly that Dawson and Hegazzi would be the big threat from corners so you would think that Potter and his staff would say that 6'5' Mike VDH on Dawson and 6'4' Rodon on Hegazzi man for man but not at all.

Did we learn from the first corner, no it was exactly the same with the second goal. Zonal marking and big Hegazzi at the back stick with a free header. Keeper also bottled it too.

Leroy Fer asside we have no other physical players to roll their sleeves out and tough it out.
We have loads of attacking players who are sometimes a luxury we can't afford when you need to grind out a result.

So frustrating as West Brom like so many other teams were there for the taking.

Never mind nice easy one saturday, Derby away.

Yes that’s fair. There’s a lot of resigned shoulder shrugging when we make mistakes at both ends, as if it’s not really hurting.

Totally agree, but on the other hand I'm sure other teams are looking at us and thinking that we are there for the taking

CCV is a good player needs more time and maybe DM role
We may have missed Naughton and Fulton a little
Fer and Bony are unfit
Good to see Montero back
Awful result
WBA looked a slightly more dangerous team
Still mid table and level with Stoke

Just watched WBA mgr Big Dave on Sky.

"We had identified the way Swansea defend corners as an opportunity for us"

For the first goal Dawson was completely unmarked for the long ball that misses the marked 6yd line.

And for the second goal another long ball bypasses everyone for the unmarked Hegazzi to score.

Wtf is the point of marking a line!!!!!

If all zones are covered and every player is paying attention then any delivery into the box will be able to be attacked by one or more players. It's a basic principle of classic English defending (two narrow banks of four, moving as if joined by a short rope, up, down, side to side in lines). Players spend most of the game "marking a line!!!!!"

It turns out Potter's zonal system is crap and easily exploited by set piece specialists, but that doesn't make all zonal systems crap.

Watch the last world cup if you want to see man to man systems used by players without the skill or training to use them effectively (spoiler: it's just loads of grappling with no one watching the ball, players still score, and give away loads more pens)

We were marking a line whilst the opposition were running riot, and we didn't learn from it.
At least the line didn't score eh!
We stopped that bloody line from scoring but oh wait the players who decided to do something else scored.!
And another thing our tallest players were marking NOBODY!

We’re ridiculously narrow. I couldn’t believe how easily they went over the top of us with Dawson coming in behind.

And then we let them do a carbon copy with the next one, luckily which was deflected out (but then they scored from the resulting corner).

Potter talks about learning. There’s plenty that needs to be done on those corners.
