No set piece goals but plenty conceded.

That’s just rank incompetence. Embarrassing

I agree mate, I don’t think they were thick enough to believe they could get him for that, it was never on, but respect Jasper’s opinion on it.

But it seems as if we didn’t have a plan b. Which is crazy, said so at the time, and we’ve had to rely on a right back playing CDM.

An experienced, versatile player who has done as good a job as anyone else in there, stepping in due to injuries to key personnel and our best prospect in the u23s having to leave the club for health reasons.

Plan B was Riedewald, who turned down the loan move. Plan C was supposedly that lad who failed a medical and was sht anyway.

Not like we're the only team who juggle positions. Leeds played two right backs at centre half against us.

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me. They probably thought they were on to a winner unsettling the player and then offering his club much less on deadline day.

Doesn’t do a lot for the clubs reputation

Clueless. Absolutely clueless. Don't understand anything at all.

I don’t disagree he’s done a good job when played, fact is he’s a right back who we are relying on to play a specialist position. Has he ever played in there before earlier in his career? Not as far as I’m aware?

Again though, I’m not slagging the player off, I think he’s played well this year and if I’m being honest I’d be playing in him front of Roberts on current form, I think the spotlight has gone to his head recently. I’m just highlighting that this squad is far from the finished article, we’re one season into a rebuild.

Naughton started as a central midfielder at Sheffield.

Naughton started as a central midfielder at Sheffield.

<<From that point he cemented his place in the starting eleven and was virtually ever present for the rest of the season, becoming first choice at right back whilst also making a couple of appearances in midfield and finishing the season playing at left back to cover for the injured Gary Naysmith.>>

Right back according to this with a few apps in midfield, still though I always thought he was a right back with no experience in midfield. Point still stands though, even with a fully fit squad we are short in midfield in my humble opinion, and that’s been the problem area for a few seasons.
