Christmas Eve 14:12 - Dec 16 with 4162 views | jack_lord | Why can't a lot of businesses let staff have a life at Christmas and close. I have seen places shutting later and later recently, less time with the family. The EU has to take the blame for this.

Christmas Eve on 14:37 - Dec 16 by bluey_the_blue | I suspect a fair number of those wanting shops to close early Christmas Eve would be the same ones moaning shops weren't open on Christmas Eve when they want to do some last minute shopping. |
Spot on blueythejoo, no need for all this religious nonsense at Christmas.

Christmas Eve on 20:04 - Dec 16 with 861 views | ItchySphincter | I take it none of you will be going out on Xmas eve or Boxing Day then? May as well stand the bar staff, taxis and bouncers down then, maybe the football players too. I suppose we can’t pick nana up on Xmas day cos the garage is closed and we can’t get no juice in the car. Warra bunch of f*cking hypocrites. It’s not even real. FFS!

We’re actually going out for lunch this Christmas Day. It’s costing a fair whack so I assume those working will be benefiting from at least some of that.

I think family/friends time is important. We can all see the effect that modern life has had on community and how it is slowly breaking down so if some religious festival is an excuse to create time for us all to get time off and enjoy each others company then fabulous.

We’re going to the Old Inn, Penllergaer. Just across the road for us really so within walking distance if the trouble and strife fancies a drink and is up to the walk. Feel free to stalk. You’ll be easily recognisable with those purple collars and buttons anyway.

I use to live in Korea Town, in LA, and all the shops close to me were closed on sunday save for like a poundshop (dollar stores here) and a sandwich shop. And it really wasn't so great if I'm honest. Having to make sure all the groceries were gotten on sunday, swimming through the hordes of people who didn't want to travel several miles to the next neighbourhood tomorrow where shops were open. Then again I'm not religious and I don't hold sundays in the special reknown others might do.

I’ll be working on Xmas day. I wish I wasn’t and the product is of no importance to me but if I didn’t I can guarantee that some on here would moan.
