Swansea very nearly beat NZ in 1905 as well. Lost by a,NZ drop goal (4 points) to a, Swansea try (3 points)
We best the Maoris in the 80s as well.
I think the 1924 New Zealand side are considered their greatest.
When the All Whites defeated New Zealand 11-3 in 1935, they became the first ever club side to beat the All Blacks.
The win also made them the first club side to beat all three of the major touring sides to tour Britain ... they had previously beaten Australia in 1908 and South Africa in 1912.
