Well seeing as it was virtually deadline day, we needed a striker, needed goals and our completely unimaginative recruitment team at the time had no one else in mind, he really was the only show in town at that point. So probably stupidly l, at the time I was relatively excited.
Of course it never should have got to the point that we were scratching around on deadline day having to re-sign a crock on a contract with no relegation clause. |  |
