Personally, I don't subscribe to this point of view. There is a huge paradox here. Humans are adaptive creatures to their environment and this reflects on their diet. There are many documented cases of isolated pockets of people who live in the harshest of places both hot and cold where nothing grows,no fruit,no vegetation,nothing. These people have no choice but to become carnivores feeding almost entirely on animal and dairy produce. Now here's the kicker...the incidence of heart disease,cancer and diabetes is almost non existent compared to the west. Probably due to the fact that everything is fresh,organic and free of the growth hormones and treatments we are subjected to in similar produce in "more advanced,civilised" countries. |
