It wasn't avoidable I know, but my guess looking at the car he was doing well over 30mph, and that's the thing.. Just watch your speed.. Just think I know I will.
Horrific and how the kid survived is miraculous. I hope they throw the book at the coward of a driver who DROVE OFF after having just almost killed a child.

He's been on for it, looking at the article 12 month community order, 160 hours community service, 10 points on his license, and £85 court costs, and £85 surcharge, bit of a little slap on the wrist really.

The lad’s family are chasing the driver via a civil case, according to that article.
I assume(!!) they contacted an ambulance-chasing lawyer who can see a digit. Dunno the lawyer’s angle. Presumably they’re assuming the driver’s insurer will settle.

Although the twa* drove off, I don't there was much more he could have done, I would be gobmacked if the civil case won, If it did you would have some right beauts running across the road for payouts.

Well over 30?
Tremendous brakes on a Shyte family hatch if that's the case.

What are you on about mate?
Any responsible Adult sits there with the boy until the emergency services/Police show up and he explains himself, mea culpa and all. We all make mistakes in life, but it is about fronting up and owning them.

The civil case against him, he's already been dealt with for driving off in a criminal court.
