And was also a big factor as to how we got ourselves in a financial pickle!

I would be happy with Oliveria. Decent player first time round who was just missing something special. Proven in the championship, what's there not to like?

Lack of game time this season

Well we're not about to sign a first team regular who scores 20 goals a season are we? Let's get real.

It was reported that Norwich refused an offer from the Swans for Oliviera on 31st August 2017, the same day we resigned Bony for Man City

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Agreed but 3 games for the Norwich under 23’s is a long way from match fitness

Unless we look to Romania or the Baltic countries (not Germany, Russia or Poland) we are either going to buy from lower leagues or get players who are surplus to requirement elsewhere.
Given how hard it was bringing players in as a Premier League team I imagine it is even more difficult now.
Short of bringing Boston back someone like Nelson is going to be our target.

Which presumably is why we want a loan or a free.

Not a bad player did OK for forest I think. Bears all the hallmarks of HJ going back for someone. Don't touch him if Mendes is involved. Imagine the backhanders.

I know this is where we are now, and probably the best we can do, but I find this very depressing. Very.

Why can't we bring back Borja Bastard by the way? Would Oliveiras wages be less than what we are getting minus our subsidy/ And don't say he doesn't wantto come back, I don't give two f*cks what he wants.

So we can't do scouting properly like we did under Roberto, Brendan or Laudrup then???

Until we get that clueless, self appointed cúnt out of the building we will never rebuild

The players are out there if you look hard enough, Pukki has been outstanding for Norwich this year & he was a free transfer

He's decent in the air so might get on the end of some of the numerous crosses we get into the box that have gone begging. Scored regularly in this division before, seems like a decent signing if 1) Potter is happy with him - he's Huw's man obviously, and His attitudes right - might work in our favour with him wanting to pish Norwich off for dropping him.

Correct, the amount of chances we make he could have a field day.

Definitely.

As long as Potter and his staff are rubber stamping the signings I’d be happy with Olivieira (sp?)

I am not against us getting Oliviera in, think he could be decent at this level but the deal stinks of Jenkins.

We were told that the reset button would be set and footballing matters would be dealt with by Potter and Co. Even if Potter is happy with Oliviera, surely Jenkins stuck his nose in with the suggestion.

Impossible for him to keep his nose out though isn’t it. Apparently, he’s currently sticking his nose into property in Cyprus. The rest of him is in Skewen.

Happy new year all. I’m off to Dubai. Hopefully listen to a Swans win (we could do with one) on the way to the airport.
