In my opinion I don’t believe he is capable of stepping up to the Premier Level. He is fine against Championship opposition. There have been loads of strikers like him who at a certain level they have excelled, but any higher and they were simply dire. E.g. Steve Bull was a fab Lower league striker.
I watched Tammy in the Villa Match and he was like a headless chicken. He will be in the pocket of the Premier League defenders. I am certain Oli Mcburnie is more of a prospect. [Post edited 2 Jan 2019 13:47]

If they can supply him with the correct delivery and ball then £18m is an absolute steal.
Even if they can’t and his goals don’t come then they should still recoup much of that outlay when he’s moved on - he is young and English which will maintain his value above other foreign names. |  |

Well times have changed. 18 m for a striker for a PL club isn't much money anymore, and you can't expect a +10 goals a season striker too, you might if you get lucky, but it'd be considered a bargain buy.
We signed that potato Andre for the 2nd time for 20 m..it got us f*ck all..Bony for 12 m..it got us 2 goals for a whole season. You get the idea.
Tammy is decent PL striker. But definitely the kind of player you'd expect to play for mid table clubs, and not the top 6 obviously. Wolves would be a great fit for him, Especially if they were priced out of a move for Raul Jimenez, Going for Abraham makes sense. |  |

He is an incredible talent.
23 in 41 at Bristol City, 16 in 20 so far at Aston Villa and 8 in 39 whilst playing in the Premier League at the age of 20 I believe.
There's no argument he's a far superior player to McBurnie. I am unsure whether he'll consistently become a 20 goal a season striker in the Premier League, however he doesn't need to. Getting 10 a year will keep him in that league until he chooses to retire or cannot replicate those sort of stats any longer. |  |

Patrick Bamford, David Nugent, Jordan Rhodes - all fit into the category of ‘good in Championship but couldn’t cut it in the Premier League’.
I’d say that Tammy is a level above these when looking at them at the same age. If he does move there will be a lot of eyes following his development path. | |

- Sold to another Premier League team outside the top six for a price that reflects the fact that he’s English, young and with an excellent scoring record in the Championship. A price also up near what Wolves have paid for him.
