Why is he still on the books? It’s been nearly 2 weeks.

Poll: Can’t see the new guy coming in to sit on the bench so, who’s off?

You must be new around here ;)

You’d think they’d have this one lined up and ready to go wouldn’t you? They’ve had long enough. But it’ll go to the wire and we’ll probably cave in and give him away or end up paying wages to send him on loan. Must be a difficult one to do though as he’s going to struggle to get anywhere near the money he doesn’t earn here.

We had AEK lined up in the summer but Narsingh and his agent told us to do one unless we paid his contract up in full first.

Always the club's fault though, yeah.

Because he’s on ridiculous wages for someone of his ability. He’ll earn more money sitting the season out then getting a big signing on fee somewhere as a free transfer,

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Well sort of yes......

If you sign players on long contracts, then you need to be able to afford them.
You need to anticipate a potential relegation.

The way we have treated Narsingh, Nathan and Wayne this seasons brings shame on our great club.

The club offered these contracts, you cant blame the players for accepting the offers made.

They have been available to play, but we have played lesser players instead. Why ?

I don't think we've ever had a "lesser player" than Narsingh. There is no way I can see him commanding a fee, no matter how small.

Why? Maybe the Swansea Sound commentators speculative thoughts were rational the other week?

He said that Swansea City has (even with relegation clauses) players on over inflated wages that no other club is prepared to pay. The club would like to offload but cannot and the theory is the only way is to go about things is to take a strategy to pressurise an unwanted player to quit the club...... i.e. forcing players out by not playing them because not being fully match fit, playing at the highest level possible, not being in the shop window might implicate a players income in the longer term.

Yep it is the club’s fault.

For him to play this game the club must have agreed an over generous contract and any relegation clause had little to no effect.

Or we can take Potter at his word and believe that he sees the best route forward for the club to be for the players that want to be here (and we can afford to keep for the foreseeable future) to play and develop. We spent money on Asoro and McKay, James has started games on merit.

Narsingh's used to not playing. He already asked to leave. He and his representatives are happy to let his contract run down and earn themselves a better signing bonus in the summer. He's not good enough to be in the first team. How do you pressurise that into leaving?

It is indeed a bit of a chicken and egg (think its the right term?) paradoxical situation i.e. Forcing players out by not playing them but surely playing them puts them in the shop window and attracts other managers/scouts/clubs interest.

You want to drop capable players who want to play for Swansea City for some speculative shop window transfer nonsense?

What's Potter supposed to do while he's waiting for the club to sell all its deadwood? When is he supposed to start developing his squad?

To be blunt, Potters job is to pick the best team available for Swansea.

Many do not think that the new recruits are better than Nathan, Wayne, and Narsingh.
Yes, I am one of them.

Surely you can see the short sightedness of treating players that we have signed like this ? Firstly it has totally failed to work, and secondly will new targets now avoid us as we treat long serving players as poorly as this.

Its not the way to treat people. Simples.

Potter's job is defined by the desires of its owners. If they want to see us move past the expensive older players and develop younger talent then that's what is job is.

If Narsingh wants preferential treatment he shouldn't have acted as he did in the summer, and since.

I imagine new signings will look at how we treat new signings before the players in their 30s that we signed 8-10 years ago. They can worry about that when deciding if they should extend their contracts.

Who would sign for us if we'd not given McKay and Asoro a chance after bringing them in?

Which is why I said “Must be a difficult one to do though as he’s going to struggle to get anywhere near the money he doesn’t earn here.“

It’s not in his interest to move, if his motivation is money. Which seems the case.

The only new player who has grabbed a first team shirt is Celina.
The recruitment of the rest remains a big ?

I still think it speaks a lot about a club, in how it treats its long term employees. The treatment of Nathan and Wayne this season has been very poor.

And when the parachute cash runs out in 2 seasons time, then treating people with dignity and resoect might be all we have to offer.

And clearly it has not worked, which sort of proves the point.
Its a bollox way to run a business.

Graham Potter has revealed that Swansea City's forgotten man Luciano Narsingh will play for the club's Under-23s next week as he bids to step up his return from injury.
The Dutchman is yet to feature for the first team under Potter this season and suffered a setback earlier on in the campaign when he suffered a hamstring injury.

Could be he'll play a role if no one buy him in January.
Probably very good at this level and if we are paying him it would be stupid not to play him - we've seen the difference Rutledge, Dyer and the improving Fer have made.

And the u23s were just starting to show some improvement as well. Just what they need.

Hopefully Toshack has the guts to pull him off at half time if he plays like he did the last time he was given a run out.

It's Saint Potter that's chosen not to play Routs and Dyer but you'd better be careful having a pop at him on here. His attack dogs Riscy & Taily will rip you to shreds.
