Not good news for Cardiff City or the player on 11:49 - Jan 22 with 3253 viewsWingstandwood

Singleton/SW Wales sent one of its cancer specialist teams to Dublin approx 2-3 years ago my sister being one of that team. I can tell you that despite the obvious mental toughness of the team...... Flying in turbulence across miles of ocean in one of those small bucking-bronco planes was not a pleasant pre-journey thought or experience. And the Singleton team travelled in a twin-engine plane.

*Edit* Afterthought.... All planes should IMO have safety systems in place with parachute and emergency all weather inflatable raft, radio beacon, flares etc.

What others have said... football and rivalries don't feel pressing in this kind of tragedy. Hopefully things turn out on a positive note.

Most planes are too heavy for a parachute. Also practicing deploying and floating on a raft in a swimming pool is far different to the crashing waves and freezing temperatures of the Atlantic Ocean.

I'm amazed anyone would fly across a large stretch of water in a single engine plane.
