The purpose of an Academy is probably different for these huge clubs. For us it's about developing and keeping talent (ironic I know with the DJ situation). For them its so unlikely players will break through so developing talent and selling it on is fair game imo.

What a facile argument. We don't exactly have players like Sterling, Aguero, Sane, Fernandinho and Silva in our first team do we?

My previous comment wasn't about the academy or the club but the moaners who cry if we sell players but drool when big clubs make profits from their young players.
