his modus operandi (at least verbally) over the last few years has been to strive for the set up and strategy that got us success in the first place, but he kept getting it woefully wrong as he tried to shoehorn it into different circumstances and ended up making awful short term decisions in those circumstances.
where his business acumen seems to fail is lack of adaptability or coming up with new ideas. he is a one trick pony, the stars aligned perfectly and it was an incredible trick for a while, but he needs to accept that ship has sailed.
