If gylfi and bony went for the tens of millions they went for what is Dan worth now?

I say 50 million pounds.

Both had done something in the game prior to their transfer fees.

Dan James has a value of around £10m-£12m currently I would say, contract depending.

Both of those had stood out in the Premier League. Bony in particular.

Dan was frightening today, but he’s not going to fetch Gylfi money in the Championship. Particularly when it’s an open secret we need to balance the books.

One team interested can rinse us, two teams interested is another story.

As much as I’d love our owners to surprise me and look to keep our best prospects, a bidding war is probably the best realistic scenario

One year left on his contract come the end of the season? His transfer value is at risk of diminishing if we don’t have him extended by then. The more he puts himself in the shop window then the harder it becomes to level a new contract with hm.

Whatever he goes for we need to include sell-on clauses and other add-ons that we can profit further from.

Including such clauses would mean we would get less up front. We need money desperately now, not in 4 years on the off chance he gets a paid transfer elsewhere.

Also, judging by the ridiculous 'add ons' we saw were included in Bony's transfer, it's unlikely we'd see them come in anyway.
