Could anyone suggest a nice cafe somewhere broadly equidistant between West Swansea and Burry Port? Mrs Bear is meeting a recently widowed friend and is stuck for where they could go.

Gorseinon is equidistant. Try Jinny's or the Market café.
But forgetting the equidistant brief for a minute, what a cracking idea Mumbles is as suggested by jack2jack.

Not been myself, but Flanagans on Llanelli seafront is a stop off for some of the cyclists I know. Nice spot and views and equidistant.
But as others have said, Mumbles would be great. A chance to potter afterward too (isn't that what women do?  ) |  | | |

Edit: She ended up going to Wildflower (head towards Gower, turn left opposite Swansea airport).
