Read the statement on icwales on the 6th July last year, that Tan has converted a further £66.4 million to equity
Now if you could understand the fair play rules that govern football, you would understand that Tan couldn’t convert the whole debt to equity under those rules
Yes there is still debt at Cardiff City but with a big difference. No interest is paid on that debt to Tan

Players often travel for medicals without the financial terms between clubs finalised. If a deal is within sight, the selling club will allow them to travel for a medical and finalise personal terms - particularly if time is of the essence as it would be on transfer deadline day.
Your OP is incorrect on so many levels. You either have a very bad source who is lying to you, or you're making it up for some attention. Either way, completely wrong.
Dan James never wanted to leave Swansea but wasn't formally offered a reasonable contract and then Swansea allowed him to travel. Leeds fvcked about with payment terms late on and Jenkins pulled the plug. There's no more to it. | | | |

Must have missed this. Do you have a link that confirms this as it seems at odds with what came out of Leeds. Which is that we had asked for part of the payment up front, they agreed with that and then did not hear from us nor were able to contact us.

We can all guess and have our own thoughts on matters. Did Potter threaten to walk, not sure myself as the club could sue him for breach of contract (and his staff if they walked with him) in the same way that sacked managers sue clubs who’ve dispensed with their services. That’s said, there were rumours that he’d walked on deadline day last summer only to be persuaded to return, so it’s by no means clear cut.
In terms of Cardiff, they have a lot of debt, but it seems to have been managed over the last few seasons and this year in the PL has probably saved their bacon. If they have run the club prudently and not allowed wages to increase to an astronomical level then even if they go down with the parachute payments they should be ok. If they stay up, then that will be a great result for them and no doubt will enable them to clear their debt. That said, I am not interested in Cardiff, I am much more concerned about what’s going on at Swansea. | | | |
