Responsibility ? ok, tell me how to quantify that then please, Muslim extremists can shout at dead soldiers families as they carry their coffins and thats ok, 80% of muslim fmilies in a Birmingham school remove their children because they refuse to have their kids follow the policy set out by local education athorities in making kids being aware of LGBT rights and taught about homosexuality, that's ok also.

But have somebody highlight the short comings of a form of an extreme stone age idiology in a 1st world western culture and they are the ones lacking responsibility ??

But besides that please tell me what Tommy Robinson has actually said that irresponsible
? what has he actually said that has been factually wrong ? and compare that with how MSM goes about it's business these days. who is the least responsible ?

Laughable!

Like i said in my first post, i couldn't give a fook for Lennon, but i respect his right to say what he thinks, in the same way Salmon Rushdie was protected in his right to say what he thought, you don't have to agree with the content but we must respect his right to say it1 it's crucial to how we will move forward, amazing how people seem to be too dull to realize this !

If his argument doesn't hold water, his time will pass quickly, if his argument is being shut down it just fans the flames and puts legitmacy to his argument without it being debated/debunked or agreed with !

He has the freedom to express his views. Just not the freedom to break the law.

He also doesn’t have the freedom to force a private company to allow him access to their platforms.

It really is quite simple.

He’s a bigot, a far right racist bigot

If you don’t like it snowflake, grow a pair

Cool, lets resort to insults instead of healthy debate, i think your answer sums up perfectly what happens when once in a while somebody decides to scratch beneath the surface of what actually is going on in western PC culture .

Being called a snowflake and to grow a pair because i'm sensible enough to see there is a whole big picture totally getting washed over and the lemmings are all shouting "racist, bigot, far right thug"

So so funny, but also fookin' scary as some people fail to see that once you can silence public opinion and freedom of thought and speech you can do what you want to who ever whenever you wish and no fooker will ever be able to help you point it out or raise awareness to your plight.

Great stuff !!

It ain't about Robinson, it's about a much bigger thing, lets not realise it after it's too late to change it please !

What law did he break ?

He was released on appeal because of" technical and other failings "of the prosecution.

Just in case you're not aware..

"Former English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson has been released on bail after winning an appeal against a contempt of court finding.

The 35-year-old admitted the charge and was jailed in May for filming outside Leeds Crown Court during a trial.(@@@@@@this is factually wrong, Robinson has since clarified that he did not plead guilty to the charge and this part of the report was factually incorrect@@@

At the Court of Appeal, Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett ruled the case be reheard after identifying technical and other failings.

Robinson's solicitors said everyone has the "right to a fair hearing".

The far-right activist, from Luton, was not present for the ruling in London and was released from his 13-month sentence being served at Onley Prison, near Rugby just before 15:30 BST.

Speaking to reporters, Robinson said: "All the British media do is lie. I have a lot to say but nothing to you.

So you are factually incorrect, he has not broken the law, so not quite that simple after all my dear.

The old "private company" thing, first thing, he hasn't forced them to do anything, he's simply followed terms and conditions, people only get de platformed if they fail to follow the terms and conditions, it's been made very clear that so far Robinson hasn't broken those rules, but if they've decided to ban him because they quite frankly can, that just goes to prove that media is trying to sensor, control and limit freedom of speech .

Can't have it both ways, can't preach and say their platforms are not biased and then sensor anyone who leans to right or says something they don't agree with, the problem is that there is clearly a bias, which makes people buy into Robinson a little bit more, which adds more fuel to his fire etc, etc.

He broke the law the first time and was given a suspended sentence (no appeal). The second time he was given 10 months which is now going to be reheard.

Best not to attempt to patronise me by calling me ‘my dear’ when you’re wrong. It makes you sound like an idiot as well as a tosser.

Serious questions need to be asked if our national broadcaster is cooperating with a far left activist group to harm their political opponents.

He broke the law the first time? which time? he's been arrested quite a few times !
But we both know the relevant time here don't we ?

This is what you said "He has the freedom to express his views. Just not the freedom to break the law" well, he hasn't broken that law has he ? plain and simple. Why are you referirng to past court cases ? what is relevant is the current case and his unfair treatment, a treatment that ensured his release.

As for your "Best not to attempt to patronise me " line, why would you think such a thing? it shows and highlights a real sense of insecurity on your part, especially as "my dear" is a term i use to many other posters on here most of them blokes by the way, very odd i must say.

As for being wrong ? how? unless you know the outcome of the next trail i fail to see how i can be wrong ....my dear .

Of course they should but by the time right and left have finished arguing over it they’ll have forgotten what they were arguing about.
I’d like to see Robinson and the leader of Hope Not Hurt both beaten to a pulp because they’re both as bad as each other.

I was referring to his conviction for contempt of court - the first one.

He did break the law - that’s why he was found guilty. And given a suspended sentence. The second offence is the one you referred to which will be heard on appeal. My post stands - he’s free to say what he wishes, not break the law.

But yes, it does get complicated, as he’s broken the law on a number of occasions, been done for assault more than once, travelling on a false passport, mortgage fraud, football hooliganism...

Referring to your attempt to patronise, it was obvious. Why don’t you show some examples of you referring to others as ‘my dear’. Perhaps you were similarly ridiculously trying to patronise them based on your misunderstanding.

It seems to me that the majority of the posters on the thread don't want to talk about the BBC and are going for the easy target. I have no regard for Robinson, but I am horrified to see what our national broadcaster is getting up to. There is absolutely no defence for what Sweeney did, and behind him there are others who believe the end justifies the means.

Problem is here is that he is going to use this as a vehicle for his own backward rhetoric. There are plenty of dullards in the UK ready and willing to hang on every word he says.

The BBC have become the most biased organisation in the country.

Run by a small band of champagne socialists with exactly the same views.

Newsnight and Question Time have become a joke and both stopped trying to look impartial a long time ago,why anyone still watches them I do not know.

It seems to me that you can't see the wood for the trees. Your knee jerk reaction to anything to do with Robinson stops you seeing that what the BBC has done is a huge problem. After a lifetime when I saw myself as very much on the left I'm afraid I now think that contemporary progressives are losing the argument. Look again at the film of Sweeney and ask yourself if you want to line up with that kind of hypocrisy and corruption. Isn't it interesting that this is yet another story that the mainstream media don't want to cover?

Mike Stuchbery, Eb?

I read the piece he did on Mosley a few days ago...a masterclass in muddle! In the space of a few paragraphs he managed to illustrate some blather about the Olympia Rally of June ‘34 with a photograph of the Earl’s Court Rally of July ‘39 then go on and top that by mixing up the New Party founded in March ‘31, which had Aneurin Bevan and Harold Macmillan on its fringes, with the National Party of Europe from July of ‘62.

So what you may say? Does it matter? In the grand scheme of things not a jot but this walloper apparently taught history! You have to pity the poor children...

If that’s his idea of attention to detail you have to wonder at the legs on any other pony he’s trying to trot around?

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.
