As Builth pointed out, he has done interviews in Spanish.
Marcelo and Courtois are the ones who have been having digs at him. Not sure about Marcelo, but it's widely-known that Courtois was a pain in the arse at Chelsea and they were glad to sell him at the right price. Ironically they were happy to have the more placid Kepa!
It's pretty obvious why some of the Madrid players are having public digs at him. He signed his last contract in 2016 while they were under a transfer ban and managed to squeeze them for £350k a week after tax, more than Ronaldo was getting. It's not surprising that he's not exactly Mr Popular in the dressing room in those circumstances.

If you're going to make a statement like that, then let's see your proof to back it up - it should be easy enough to do. Got any clip on YouTube showing Gareth Bale speaking Spanish? Got any links to journalists interviewing him in Spanish? Wouldn't there be the equivalent of Match of the Day post-match interviews, for instance? Just 60 seconds would be enough.

I'll chose to believe the Spanish football journo's who are better placed to judge what the problem is with Bale. Graham Hunter, Guilleme Balague, Terry Gibson all say the same thing. He hasn't learned the language, hasn't adapted to the culture - missing team outings as it's too late, keeps himself to himself outside of training - playing golf on his own mini course. As long as he produces on the pitch, which he has, mostly, I don't know why the fans would give him such a hard time.
