Well, the game itself has worked at its image, with a massive improvement in playing surfaces and player fitness and is now, at its best, a hugely entertaining spectacle whether viewed from the stands or on tv. Stadia have been redeveloped, rebuilt and improved out of sight, compared to what they were just a short time ago. They are now clean and safe, and at their best, such as the Emirates Stadium, are spectacular and magnificent sporting arenas.
However, there’s still a way to go with football fans. There are still way too many brainless yobs like the beauty who assaulted Grealish. Football reflects society but unfortunately it seems to reflect some of the worst aspects of society. Apparently this vile moron was cheered and clapped by the Brum fans as he was led away by the stewards. God help us. |  |
