He was just starting to bully players at this level this time last year, and then tore his hamstring. Very stop start ever since but has looked decent most of the time despite that.
Need a run of games more than the disruption first team duty would cause imo. Are Dhanda and Asoro developing? Impossible to say, they're rarely ever playing. |
Those two should have played a lot more minutes for the u23s than they have. The fact they haven't is a strange one.
As for Garrick, once he's back up to full fitness I'd have him in the squad. A couple of appearances at Championship level now with no pressure on could benefit him and us greatly next season. More u23 football and then a 2 1/2 month break isn't going to do much. |  | | |

Performances have improved massively since we stopped parachuting the fringe players in for cameos every other week. It ended up being too big a group with no consistency of tactics or selection.
It's hard when a player is involved in first team training, occasional match day/travelling squads, and then has to come in and play home games for the u23s here and there. DJ trained with the first team but travelled with them only twice last season iirc. And he didn't really approach top form until this sort of time of year in our annual cup run. | | | |
