It's not like it used to be on here. The OFFICIAL 2019 Guinness 6 Nations Thread by Jackfath 27 Jan 2019 9:49Looking forward to this. Wales win Friday then the tournament is theirs for the taking. Let's hope a rusty French team appear on the night.
I'm also looking forward to it as it's the time of year when people who dislike rugby tell those that do that they don't like it and nobody else does for 11 months of the year etc etc etc...

Under 6 Nations rules, both sides must agree to close the roof. This can be overruled by stadium management if it becomes a health hazard to the spectators and fans, ie heavy snow etc ... But not for the torrential rain and gale force winds expected today

My best mate coached Josh at youth level at Carmarthen Athletic. Couldn't believe the Scarlets let him go!

Agreed (even though I started a couple for previous games🙄). Genuinely didn’t see it or forgot about it. Threads like yours should be stickies. Maybe mods could do something next year or sooner for the WC possibly?

Schmidts decision to keep the roof open has bitten him on the arse. Imo if the roof had been closed the irish would have won, it was easier for us to defend with the ball being a tad slippy, we could move up a bit quicker and put pressure on their runners. But our defence was awesome, navidi was like a rash he was everywhere, made loads of big tackles all game

The mood Wales were in today, they could have played in the Sahara or the Arctic and they’d have won. They made their intentions very clear from the kick off.

Yes. Ireland were never winning that game. They were totally outclassed.

Opinions are what its all about Would have been interesting if it was dry the irish would have had more continuity with the ball and thrown it about more often But i agree our defence probably would have kept them at bay and ateotd have won us another grand slam My point being schmidt will rue the decision to keep the roof open

The Grand Slam on 22:59 - Mar 16 with 1513 views | sherpajacob | For ireland to stand any chance to win the championship they needed to win with a 4 try bonus point. By having the roof open on a, wet day they removed any chance they had of doing that. Muddled thinking before the game translated into muddled thinking during the game. Both Farrell and Sexton couldn't cope with the pressure this campaign. Absolute dominant performance by Wales, it says, something that i was disappointed we didn't nil them.

Rankings are often a load of crap, but totally justified as we’ve beaten all the other countries in the last few months.

Another amazing piece of kidology by Gatland. He was vocal all week about “not spoiling the occasion for the spectators “ and Ireland fell for it hook line and sinker. Brilliant!
