My guess would be that there is some kind of “agreement” in place between the press and the establishment to minimise reporting for fear of inciting similar protesting in the U.K. We already have protesting outside parliament and there have also been some pretty unpleasant scenes broadcast on TV where MP’s are being confronted and abused. A few years ago there were riots (I think it was London) which spread across the UK very quickly. I suspect that news outlets have agreed not to carry the stories to prevent copy cat incidents breaking out now. | | | |
