Glamorgan cricket 2019 thread 07:40 - Apr 11 with 18650 viewsdickythorpe

First up Northants

https://www.glamorgancricket.com/cricket/news/2019/april/trio-set-for-championsh

I think we'll be more competitive this season but no doubt plenty of highs and lows (reminds me off another sporting side I follow)

Excited about Billy Root and the timeless Hogan and Wagg will keep us going.
Hopefully the new signings will add to our team and get us RUNS!!!!

Fakhar Zaman confirmed replacement. Decent.

His chant will write itself at least.

..........If he canโ€™t do it, no one can.

And increase the gate. A lot of cricket mad Pakistan families living in Cardiff.
I bowled a few balls in a street somewhere near the Millennium stadium whilst a bit tispy.
Great fun it was and they were fanatical about the game.

I don't think the non-cricket lovers enjoyed me whipping the kids up into a frenzy of "Inzaman Pakistan" and "Boom! Waqar Waqar " being bellowed.

You watch the weather change now the T20 is on.
Luckily Glammy are playing Thursday as originally it was a Friday fixture, the weather for Friday is poor.

The beer will still be wet Dicky

Letโ€™s be honest, if it wasnโ€™t for the bonkers love of the game in the subcontinent, cricket would be a dying sport.

Batting looks very thin with Labuschagne leaving. The other batsmen need to step it up.

Somerset are always tough opponents. They are fancied to do well. Banton is a star in the making.
Ingram is s key man for us. Plenty of games ahead.
