Yep. They had the same treatment a few weeks before that though in the Champion's league if memory serves. I think Napoli were then in the Europa league after being defeated by Arsenal? We should have advanced far into that competition. We had one of the best starting elevens in the tournament.
Playing second string players for the sake of giving them a little bit of playing time is something I'll never understand when there is still something significant to play for. Tremmel and his woeful performances in the group stage cost us a much easier route into the latter rounds. |  |

It’s my all-time favourite season watching the Swans (and I go back to the Tosh era) because of all the great European trips I did with my friends and family. Glad I had the chance to do it then, can’t ever see such opportunities coming round again. Brilliant experiences (the Naples ring road aside...) |  |

Yes, me & a mate were on that Sorrento bus too and quite an experience it was but at least we saw the whole game.
